AMA with Fulbo Galaxy
On the 7th of April, 2022 at 16:00 UTC, Decentralized Club had the honor of hosting Kevin van Dorp (CMO) from Fulbo Galaxy for an Ask-Me-Anything session on their Telegram page with a community of over 100,000 people. It was hosted by DC Admin, May.
The session was divided into three segments. Introductions were made in Segment 1, questions from the Twitter community were answered in Segment 2, and live questions from the community members in attendance were answered in Segment 3.

So Fulbo started a long way before I joined it. Fulbo Galaxy started with our game designer (Nacho), game artist (Darío), and programmer (Agustín) working in the same company in 2008, making video games for Comedy Central, Lego, and more. After work, they dedicated their time to create their own video games for arcade machines at parties, also for mobiles and PCs, always with an anarchic theme and retro art.
Fulbo Galaxy is one of those creations. They fusioned with Guillermo (CEO) and Patricio (COO) in 2021 to turn this garage project into a worldwide one

What innovative solution is Fulbo Galaxy bringing to topple its competitors with similar offerings in the GameFi sector?

Haha we could talk an hour about our competitive advantage
but I’ll make it specific
compared to our direct competitors I’d say:
So far, I’ve spotted 27 crypto games with football themes (some have already disappeared). Some have amazing concepts, while others merely copy them; nonetheless, none of these have our gameplay or theme. The bulk of them are management, card, or turn-based games, however, Fulbo Galaxy is a one-of-a-kind action football game.
Because we’re still in the early phases of this journey, it’s difficult to prove we’re better than others right now, but we’ve learned a lot from the mistakes of others, and it will show in our game mechanics and economics. Once our beta is online (really soon!), you’ll see so for yourself 😉

Regarding the rewards mechanism, I’m going to be lazy and copy-paste a bit. Because I want to share the whole picture
But those who wish the short answer: You earn by playing, trading, and investing!
And what does that look like?
Playing
You’ll need $FULBO to buy a team of players. With those players, you are ready to earn $FULBO! Every player will be an in-game club, with that Club players hold NFT Players and create teams to play with. A team can consist of 5, 8, and 11 players, so start collecting your players early!
The first stage of the game (Q3 of 2022) will be Story Mode with only PvE Matches.
Story Mode will feature 5 different stadiums in which users can play 12 levels each. The stadiums and levels have different storylines and opposing teams. In this story mode, users earn $FULBO after a draw or a victory.
After this stage playing PvP and tournaments will be the way to earn big rewards with the game! In multiplayer mode (available from the beginning of 2023), Fulbo Galaxy users can play against the teams of other users. In PvP mode, earnings depend on the match type. Similar to Story Mode, players can earn $FULBO in direct matches, but additional prizes will be available in tournaments and league championships.
You can also do friendly matches for fun and practice, but they yield no rewards.
Trading
You can also earn rewards by purchasing and trading in-game assets (players/stadiums/and equipment items to improve the stats of players) on our NFT marketplace. Value is based on the economic principles of supply and demand.
Investing
Buying stadiums will also yield passive income for players.

Our utility token is called $FULBO. Its main utility is to buy player packs and equipable items for them to improve their stats. With those players, you are ready to earn $FULBO just by playing the game

- Another is for passive income by buying shares in a Stadium, where users receive dividends from ownership
- An obvious one is to participate in our project’s governance, it will take some time to implement it but it will grow over time.
- Users can customize their club icons, clothing, and colors, and we will create a vanity shop with common and seasonal assets.
- We are analyzing a staking system, but we prefer to wait.

Can you tell us about the most prominent features of the Fulbo Galaxy?

Sure :)
The product’s prominent feature is that it’s just incredibly addictive to play. It has a low threshold too. You can get better at it of course, but the gameplay is intuitive and the duration of games makes it the ideal game to play when you’re waiting for the bus for example
The team’s prominent feature is that it’s a game made by the same guys who made video games for South Park, Disney, Mattel, Comedy Central, and many more. I already explained that just now, but I’ll repeat it for those who joined the AMA a little bit late:P
And this team in turn is led by a CEO and a COO who both have incredible success with their own companies. So with this awesome game, great team, and strong financial backing, this game will go mainstream (there are 500 million casual gamers worldwide), I’m confident of that

I’ll start with what we’ve achieved
Achieved:
A solid core team working together since last year
Artificial intelligence for non-controlled players
Stats system to improve players
Tokenomics creation
The first version of the Whitepaper
An internal demo, with gameplay, art, music & SFX implemented
As to your second question:
The next big step is to publish a demo to measure the impact on the public and improve gameplay. Before the official launch, we will test a beta version with the first users. Fulbo Galaxy will be a single-player at first but we are already working to make it an online PvP (it is already playable in the local PvP version or playing using Parsec, a great tool). The PvP implementation requires new members on the team, stable global servers for each platform, and a great community supporting and playing it. We are not very proud of our website at the minute (don’t judge), that’s why there’s a team already in place working on a new one. In this changing world full of uncertainty, we like to say “Paso a Paso” (step by step) and we prefer to show more than tell, that’s why the demo will be free for everyone and we will be transparent at each stage of Fulbo Galaxy.

And to answer the question as to why SolanaPrime? Solana Prime is a Layer 1 Launchpad and accelerator with an experienced and talented team that is co-working with us (they have already assisted us in resolving more than one conflict, thank you!). We chose them because they share all of their knowledge and are in the early stages, just like us. But again, we will hold more than one IDO event with other launchpads, and we will also target Magic Eden for the Founder’s Sale!

Yea that question is very understandable. I actually am in the process of making a crypto database myself, and I ended up deleting hundreds of previously active crypto projects. Too many scams and shit projects
We’re here for the long haul. The people involved are big names and not hiding behind fake avatars or anything:P We’ll keep working on our game until we’ve achieved mainstream adoption and beyond. Our team will use their tokens wisely. Investors are not going to have 100x profit in the first month, instead, we’re going for sustainable growth
To that extent, they are rare, but there are mature serious parties in the crypto scene as well. And we’re one of them 😉

Good question! We kept the barriers low. Because again we want mainstream adoption. Don’t want to sound like a broken record, but that’s our main priority.
You’ll need a little bit of $FULBO to buy your first NFT players. But that’s it! Btw, both our demo and our PvP mode “friendly matches” are free to play :) The demo will be out very soon. PvP beginning of 2023 (as per our roadmap)

If I read this question correctly, you try to ask “how are you going to attract the mainstream gamers”. Which is a really good question
I have a full in-depth answer for it, and I will just copy-paste it 😉 because this AMA is already taking an hour
More and more games are being made on the blockchain. Nonetheless, it’s still a niche market. This niche market consists of a relatively small group of hardcore crypto fanatics who like the concept of playing games and making money as well.
But you also have the mainstream market. A whopping 3.5 billion football fans and 500 million casual gamers!
Our goal is to achieve global mainstream adoption and reach out to both markets.
These different target audiences require different marketing strategies.
For the P2E crypto market, it’s simply a matter of being active in the crypto scene. We’re doing that as we speak, with AMAs like this one. We’ll also be organizing community events (Competitions, NFT giveaways & other Gleam campaigns). And of course, we’ll grow our presence through partnerships and listings. To further boost our brand awareness, we’ll also be working together with crypto KOLs found on YouTube and Twitter.
We’ll reach out to mainstream gamers by partnering with mainstream social media (TikTok, YouTube, Instagram) influencers, and by advertising on mainstream publishers.
We’ll sponsor mainstream events, and can even organize offline events for our otherwise online community.
Still, we do have an overarching marketing strategy, one that is very basic: get people to enjoy the game. Games don’t go viral by simply showing your face everywhere. Games go viral because people actually enjoy the product. So much so that they’ll tell others about it, essentially doing our marketing for us. The effectiveness of word-of-mouth marketing cannot be overstated. Our primary goal was to create such a fun game. I believe our team has accomplished this with Fulbo Galaxy.
