AMA with Tradao

On the 7th of March, 2022 at 15:00 UTC, Decentralized Club had the honor of hosting Thang Nguyen from TraDAO for an Ask-Me-Anything session on their Telegram page with a community of over 70,000 people. It was hosted by DC Admin, May.

The session was divided into three segments. Introductions were made in Segment 1, questions from the Twitter community were answered in Segment 2, and live questions from the community members in attendance were answered in Segment 3.

My name is Thang Nguyen, CTO, and Co-founder of TRAVA.FINANCE

I completed a Master's degree from Hanoi University of Science & Technology in the Computer Science domain with expertise in distributed systems, especially blockchain applications.

I and my team established Trava with a desire to bring a new generation of lending pools for users. What makes Trava become a breakthrough include pool creation and credit score. But we still want to bring more to users in the next few years.

Can you give a brief description of TraDAO to the community?

TraDAO is a new product compatible with other products in the Trava ecosystem.

It is the world’s first bonding protocol with installment and reputation tracking. TraDAO is protocol-owned liquidity, accumulating value through such activities of bonding and auto-compound staking which are regulated by a treasury.

TraDAO is deployed on the Binance Smart Chain and allowed for bonding with tokens on BSC first; we then enable multi-chain deployment and offer bonds to be exchanged for various tokens on other blockchain networks.

The protocol is DAO-governed; all of the operational decisions will be formed by our community members and determined by holders through voting. Since it is a part of the Trava Finance ecosystem, the governance token of the TraDAO Protocol is the TRAVA token.

The protocol issues the decentralized reserve currency - TOD token, which is backed by a basket of assets in the treasury, including stablecoins, LPs,... to ensure it does not fall below its base value of $1. The TOD token will be released based on the “Mint & Burn” Mechanism, managed by no one other than the TraDAO protocol.

Could you share with us the different aspects of the Tradao.Finance project and the unique features compared to other similar platforms?

In comparison to other initiatives in the DeFi 2.0 space, TraDAO Protocol offers a number of unique advantages to users:

Bond Installment: Apart from the traditional bonds, TraDAO allows users with small funds to obtain more bonds. Bond Installment is a one-of-a-kind feature that allows users to buy more TOD with a little initial amount of assets, then leverage benefits in Staking Strategy, and pay off the debt. Your bond shall be automatically staked after you use Bond Installment. A bigger amount of bonds can generate bigger profit in our Staking Strategy and bring such benefits to users with limited capital.

Wallet Reputation: Wallet Reputation is calculated based on Trava Knowledge Graph to evaluate users’ credit and loyalty in the Trava ecosystem, thus offering a more preferential Bonding Strategy for users with high Wallet Reputation. Wallet Reputation will be integrated with this product in the form of a reference to decide which user will have more benefits (i.e, lower prepaid rate, lower interest fee rate, higher liquidation discount rate,…). For example, holding assets in the Trava Ecosystem can be considered as a condition to gain a high wallet reputation.

Secondary Bond Marketplace: A secondary marketplace for bonds allows users to auction and purchase liquidated bonds, immature bonds,... It provides users another gateway to bond and takes advantage of liquidated bonds, or immature bonds to leverage their profit through Staking Strategy.

Multi-chain Deployment: TRADAO will be deployed on multiple chains in the future, which opens more opportunities for new investors to get more rewards while bonding and stacking in our TraDAO system.

We have a good internal Security team. And our product has to pass an internal audit before launch.

Besides, the community is an important part of the project so bug bounty is one of our security strategies.

Yeah, great question about how TraDAO and Trava are being great together.

The relationship between TraDAO and Trava is to promote the co-development for both protocols in the Trava.Finance ecosystem.

Since it is a part of the Trava Finance ecosystem, the governance token of TraDAO Protocol can be both TOD and TRAVA tokens.

Moreover, the liquidity owned by the TRADAO protocol could be deposited in the Trava Lending Pool to generate more profit and this profit will be shared among users in the entire Trava ecosystem.

We utilize Trava's Knowledge Graph, on which Wallet Reputation is calculated, is integrated to evaluate users’ credit and loyalty in the Trava ecosystem, then users with higher reputation will receive more preferential treats in Bonding (i.e, lower prepaid rate, lower interest fee rate, higher liquidation discount rate,…).

In the future, we might allow TOD tokens to buy Trava Knight NFTs to farm and earn incentives.

This is my pleasure to share with the community about the plan.

In February, we successfully launched a Public Offering program with 65.000 to $TOD sold out. Our team has raised more than $300k in BUSD. This was the first step for the long-term development of Trava in the future. On the 2nd of this Mar, we have also listed $TOD on PancakeSwap

After listing, Bond Sales will be enabled for users to bond at a discounted price and Auto-compounding Staking earning 10 thousand APY in TOD will be officially launched.

Moreover, we are going to launch Bond Installment - one of the primary features of TraDAO this month. In addition, the second version of Wallet Reputation will be released for the TraDAO protocol, bond installment marketplace, and so on.

Trava's Knowledge Graph is crawled from blockchain networks like BSC, Ethereum, Fantom. That makes our data analysis process easier and smarter.

The reputation model is one of our analyses on Trava's Knowledge graph. This model helps us create bond installment and help to evaluate users who join our ecosystem.

Based on that, we bring more features and utility to our users.

Thank you for your interesting question. On the roadmap, the auction mechanism will cover traditional bonds, liquidation bonds (because we provide installment bonds), and maybe NFT represented for bonds.

We already consider the NFT Knights levels in the $TOD whitelist (from gold items above). We also have planned to integrate between bonding and NFTs in TraDAO closer. The detailed information will be published in the near future. The wallet reputation shows the loyalty of a wallet to a token. In the future, the reputation for Trava’s ecosystem like lending pool, staking, and Trava Knight NFTs will be released. Trava Knights can use this information to get benefits on TraDAO applications, like installment bonds and auto-compound staking. This is very hopeful for these features.
