AMA with Univers
On the 15th of April, 2022 at 1:00 UTC, Decentralized Club had the honor of hosting Peter Nguyen and Michał Szachno from Univers for an Ask-Me-Anything session on their Telegram page with a community of over 100,000 people. It was hosted by DC Admin, May.
The session was divided into three segments. Introductions were made in Segment 1, questions from the Twitter community were answered in Segment 2, and live questions from the community members in attendance were answered in Segment 3.

My name is Peter Nguyen, and I am the Chief Marketing Officer here at Univers: The Metaverse Network. I have over ten years of experience in traditional marketing where I spent time working on digital, social, and experiential marketing with companies such as Nike, Coca-Cola, and Spotify.
I spent the past several years working within the blockchain space where I was a CMO for a previous company based out of Canada and also was the CMO for a Crypto VC Firm where I was able to incubate and provide marketing support for over 100+ different projects.

Can you tell us about Univers and the inspiration that got it started?

Yes!
We at Univers firmly believe the metaverse is the next stage in human technical evolution but has some inherent issues or failings that need to be addressed and resolved.
Metaverse experiences are largely centralized and disconnected from other metaverse experiences and projects. In addition, the parties currently investing money into the development of the metaverse are primarily centralized organizations known for forcing users to agree to unfair and questionable terms which grant them complete control over the user-generated data. These organizations raise huge ethical and proprietary concerns amongst users worldwide, making the metaverse experience less credible, less trustworthy, and thus, less engaging.
Our solution is infrastructure and technology capable of harnessing the power of the blockchain while championing connectivity and interoperability between virtual experiences. We are building a diverse network of independent projects where every idea has the opportunity to be explored and thrive regardless of what is popular or trendy at the moment. Univers will connect metaverse experiences without trying to dominate or control them!

So VRS is basically the ecosystem token for the Univers network. It will serve as both the governance and utility token within the network. Our unique token is designed to put power into the hands of the users and empower the users of the network from the players, developers, and content creators.

Some outstanding features of Univers are our SDK and Avalon.
The Univers SDK is a collection of software development tools that allow game creators to develop virtual experiences, games, and applications easier and faster, even if they have no extensive knowledge of blockchain technology.
Univers provides the technical and economic infrastructure to empower and amplify user creativity, simplify blockchain integration, and connect innovative people worldwide.
Our SDK is designed to accommodate all skill levels to ensure we can truly unleash user creativity. Univers’ openness and desire to truly elevate all types of users is a very unique feature.
Our first product, Avalon, is another incredible and unique Univers feature!
Avalon is the gateway to the metaverse and the realization of our ambitions! Avalon will be the community hub where users can enter via any of the mixed realities and explore ways to play and earn, including a live PVP-Arena, Marketplace, Live Event Spaces, and Concerts. Having $VRS as the universal token will allow independent game studios to easily enter blockchain with an in-game economy ready to go.
This also means that there can be universal asset flows across each metaverse on the Univers Network. So all of the hard work that players have spent in customizing their avatars, leveling up their characters, and collecting in-game items and assets can now be transferred seamlessly and frictionlessly across our network!

What strategies does the project have in place to persuade conventional gamers into the blockchain gaming market? Because the blockchain gaming paradigm is still too new to reach players, and the visuals and game content are unappealing. How will Project deal with this?

We’ve had research with over 30+ game studios within the space and we’ve determined exactly what they require when we onboard them onto the Univers SDK. This means that we are making all of the necessary adjustments to ensure that each game studio can easily and frictionlessly make its transition into the blockchain!

Recently, I saw Univers Network’s recent partnership with Spring Legal is vital to its secure and stable growth, yet, can you explain the importance of the alliance between both projects? Will this alliance only gravitate towards complementary practices in areas of corporate law?

Any project, application, or platform can be connected to or built on the network through any reality, such as VR, AR or
2D interfaces. In addition, Avalon is a magnificent and multifaceted virtual space itself meaning our users actually get to enjoy the entire experience of traveling between different virtual worlds, and have an interesting and fun place to hang out regardless of whether they need to or want to travel between worlds. We’re not just trying to be a bridge, but a thriving and passionate community

2. Univers is The Metaverse Network. As such, interoperability for all virtual experiences connected to our network is an absolute necessity and our priority. To make our vision a reality, we created Layer Zero.
Layer Zero is a data transfer layer running beneath Univers. It’s connected to our mother network (a COSMOS-based chain providing interoperability and security) and to metaverse-based projects and gaming apps that enable horizontal scalability.
Layer Zero can be best understood as the data transfer layer. This layer is enabled by the IMC Protocol and a transport layer for metaverse smart contracts, facilitating their on-chain communication.
