AMA with Zebec
On the 25th of February, 2022 at 16:00 UTC, Decentralized Club had the honor of hosting Subash Gautam from Zebec for an Ask-Me-Anything session on their Telegram page with a community of over 70,000 people. It was hosted by DC Admin, May.

For starters, can you please tell us about yourself and your role at Zebec?

Sure. I am Subash Gautam, cofounder and head of growth at Zebec Protocol.
I've been in Blockchain for 4 years now. I've also published a research paper on Blockchain & Remittance as a part of my undergrad thesis.

Can you briefly tell what Zebec is about? We would like to know more about it and the inspiration that birthed the project.
[Subash Gautam]
Sure
Zebec is a Solana-based DeFi protocol that aims to redefine how people perceive money through the continuous settlement of money.
We were amazed by the fact that you could transfer tokens on a per-second basis from one wallet to another. Our journey started from there and we went to build Zebec Pay, a crypto payroll solution that allows employers to send money to their employees on a per-second basis on stablecoins. After Zebec Pay, we introduced Zebec Multisig to help crypto companies on Solana Blockchain manage crypto treasury effectively.

What are the innovative solutions that distinguish Zebec from similar protocols on other blockchains and what competitive advantages do you have?

Zebec is different from others in a lot of ways. First, Zebec has a pause and resume option that allows users to pause & resume streams whereas other protocols don't have pause and resume functions. Second, on top of payment streaming, Zebec has a payroll solution like that of Gusto, that enables receiving salary in crypto and filing taxes whereas other protocols only allow streaming of payment and nothing else. Third, since Zebec is based in Solana Blockchain, Zebec has the fastest transaction speed and lower transaction fees.

Why did you choose the Solana blockchain and are you working on multichain compatibility?

We choose Solana Blockchain because of its amazingly high transaction speed and very low transaction cost, which we believe can help us scale to a large mass. Currently, we're not working on multi-chain compatibility but we plan to do that in the future/.

How do we acquire your native project token and why is it important to hold it from an investment point of view?

You can acquire ZBC token by participating in our public sale, which is happening very soon, in fact from March 03, 2022. From an investment point of view, it's important to hold the ZBC token because it is a deflationary token that will have utility as well as can be used for governance in the future of Zebec DAO.

What are the 2021 highlights from Zebec and what should we look forward to this year?

Last year we were focused on getting our product lines on the mainnet and raising funds to support the ecosystem. We were able to raise $21m in funds with support from top investment firms such as Solana Ventures, DST, and Circle.
This year, we'll be focusing on growth; users; partnerships, and launching all of our products on mainnet.

So far we have received amazing responses from investors. One of the reasons such big names are trusting us is because Zebec aims to take blockchain technology to the masses through products such as crypto payroll. Now we have the support, we're very much committed to fulfilling our promises.

Yeah. We've fees but the fees are very minimal, 0.25% of every transaction. That is 25 cents ($0.25) for a transaction of $100.

Treasury management is a very important feature, especially for DAOs. We know how it almost crashed Ethereum. What is Zebec creating to provide an extra layer of security for Treasury Management on Solana?

Indeed. Firstly, we have increased the security of our programs and have them audited by two top security firms. Second, one of the exciting things we're doing with treasury is that through Zebec, companies can transfer funds from treasury on a per-second basis, enabling liquidity all the time.

When you start transmitting the money to the recipient's wallet. How long does the transfer process take? Is there any chance that the money will not reach the account? How secure can people feel about transferring their digital assets from Zebec?

It depends on the length of streaming, but transactions happen every second. There is no chance that the money won't reach the recipient account because our smart contract automatically executes transactions on the blockchain.
