On the 5TH of October, 2022 Decentralized Club had the honor of hosting Serhat M from BoomLand for an Ask-Me-Anything session on their Telegram page with a community of over 60,000 people. It was hosted by Celeb
The session was divided into three segments. Introductions were made in Segment 1, questions from the Twitter community were answered in Segment 2, and live questions from the community members in attendance were answered in Segment 3.

BoomLand is an innovative blockchain game ecosystem — to break it down:
Main focus of BoomLand is to
1) Onboard classic mobile game users into the blockchain space
2) Help web2 game developers bring their games into the space
3) Provide a seamless and decentralized publishing authority to curate the roster of games that will be available in the ecosystem.
Imagine BoomLand as Steam of Web3, plus we make our games as well as provide feedback and transfer game design experience to improve games we are to publish.
So, players will be able to find a new curated BoomLand game to play with their NFTs, game developers will be able to bring their game to the community, and showcase it — and we will be able to help both sides explore the blockchain gaming space with ease.
The way we designed our first time player experience is unique — as if this wasn’t a Web3 game :) Non-crypto players would discover that they stepped into Web3 right after they actually earned their first BGEMs, one of our native tokens.
And for developers, we have our in-house built SDK that lets them migrate their web2 game into ewb3 without a hassle. ✅

In a way — yes. The decentralized publishing authority will decide which games goes into BoomLand platform, but once they get voted in, it will be available to all the BoomLand players. But yeah, every developer, after an initial screening, will be able to showcase their games into the community, and each month we will vote on what games goes into development/publishing next.

Q2. Can you elaborate about how Boomland ensures more fun for players and give them more control over the future of the platform?

Alrighty! So, the start with let’s acknowledge two things here:
- Making games is easy. It just takes time to develop right? Making enjoyable, good-quality games? That’s HARD.
- Web3 games were, except several examples, were just gamified dApps. I mean, if they were in Google Play or Appstore, we wouldn’t even played them.
So, to give you a quick insight about us — We are a spin-off company from BoomBit, one of the biggest game studios and publishers with over 1.5 billion downloads, and 200+ games published.
So, we know how to make fun games — That’s what we do best :)
Most important thing here is to build a core loop that is SO MUCH ENJOYABLE, that earning the tokens becomes an arbitrary thing. You’ll be in BoomLand because the games are captivating.

This is why we never use the term “play to earn”. That means end goal is EARNING, and “playing” is the only way to get there
We use “PLAY AND EARN” right from the start, last year, because we hate the idea of players grinding a game that they hate. “Play and Earn” means you are in for the playing part, and earning is just another bonus in addition to what you wanna do the most: Having fun.

With that in mind, we will only produce and publish games we know is gonna be fun for the community. This is why, BOOM token holders will have the power to vote on what games from our partners to release next, what game features they wanna have in BoomLand-produced games, and what we do with them.
We don’t have a DAO. We have a DPO — a decentralized publishing organization, led by the authority (our game designers and economy designers, as well as key stakeholders) plus the community. They will decide what’s next for the platform, as it should be.
Imagine being able to tell Bethesda to focus on Elder Scrolls 6 instead of Starfield :)

Q3. Can you tell us how someone can sign up and start experiencing Boomland?

Ok, a bit shill here — but honestly, the first and best thing all should do is to join us on Discord: https://discord.gg/boomland
The reason? Well, first of all, this is where we are gonna get our alpha players for the demo.
Next, this is where people will be able to get their whitelists, which we call “Golden Tickets.” While we are on the subject, Golden Tickets can either be won by participating and being an active community member, helping the BoomLand ecosystem grow, or they can go ahead and purchase one, which would cost somewhere around 25 to 30 MATIC (might change, but we will see), which will let them
1) Get more minting options (instead of one, they will be able to mint multiple Hunter NFTs)
2) Get a special discount
3) Get ANOTHER discount since they already paid 25–30 MATIC, right, imagine it as a deposit deduction.
Once our first game goes live, which is around November (might change if we decide to add YET ANOTHER game mode, because we just can’t get enough of them :D ), Golden Ticket holders will be able to get an early access.
Long answer — but this is just the first step.
Once the platform, game and NFT drop(s) are done — all a player need to do is to get the game, create a wallet and start playing — That’s all

Q4. What is the utility of the $BGEM and $BOOM and how does one acquire them?

Sooo, first up — I got to explain why we have TWO instead of one :)

I’m an economist — graduated from two universities on the subject matter — plus our Head of Game Design is one as well as Hannibal, our CEO, being an investment banker, our Head of Blockchain Product being an accountant — when it comes to numbers, finance, and macroeconomic mechanisms, we have an EXTENDED knowledge and know-how :)
The moment we realized that having one token usually spelled death for unpredictable growth patterns that creates either a hyper-inflationary trend OR an artificial overvaluation, we decided that governance and in-game usage should be separated.
Thus, we created $BOOM and $BGEM:
- A governance token, $BOOM is the most valuable resource in the game and is designed to capture the overall value of the ecosystem. $BOOM token holders will be able to receive some of the most valuable benefits from the ecosystem.
- The main currency of BoomLand games is the $BGEM token, but some games may choose to adopt their own in-game currency if needed. $BGEM is the primary reward that players will receive while playing our games; this currency is crucial to purchasing items in the shop.
So,
Playing the game, lending your NFTs, or owning a land, you get $BGEM, which you can spend on in-game shop to open various Hunt Boxes that contains NFTs. That’s the only way you can get BGEM, and opening chests is the only way to get item NFTs necessary upgrade or summon Hunters, or playable NFTs.

Is there a fixed amount of $BGEM I get after I perform this functions here or it varies?

$BOOM is a requirement for upgrading and summoning transactions — and it will be available (after sometime) in CEX/DEX, but before that, players will be able to convert their BGEMs into BOOM. Plus, BOOM will be one of the main rewards for the eSports / Tourney events as well as special game modes.

Not exactly — no.
The way staking helps you is three-fold:
- Decision-making on the next batch of games to add more real value
- Increasing your BoomPower, that you can think of it as your “level” in BoomLand, so that you can get more rewards both in-game and in staking
- Exclusive access to special tournaments and sale events.
We designed $BOOM to be the token that holds power rather than being a highly speculative tool that requires immense APY for short term.
BoomLand is a very, veeeery long-term focused project that would never have features that might hurt its believers and community. This is why we try to avoid anything that can put us in the same category with -not gonna smear any names but- ponzinomics.

We are on POLYGON — and we are backed/invested by them.
But, in the future we will be rolling out new networks as well.

3. Is BoomLand available for 2 types of devices which are Android and PC. What is the minimum technical requirements to run the game? And where can we download the game? What is the advisable device to play to experience the best gaming experience by graphics?

We will be avaible to play via PC and Mobile (including iOS) on start. The game, Hunters on-Chain has been optimized so even the low-end devices run cold & smooth.
You’ll be able to play the game via browser or download APK / Join TestFlight once we launch. After a brief amount of time, depending on the circumstances, we might switch to official appstores

Right now in terms of community building — we are not trying to inflate numbers — we need a community to get their hands dirty on alpha testing, feedback us about the game and our plans, and be a part of BoomLand instead of just a “discord member”. Thus, we will be rewarding proactive members, we’ll be having a special care package for early adopters and Golden Ticket holders as well as having a bugbounty pool.
We got a very balanced team of Game makers and Blockchain veterans (myself being a multi-class here :D) and I am confident that we will attract more for both sides of the coin.

This is why, to make a good gaming platform, you need to make a platform of the gamers, by the gamers, for the gamers to make it work.
This is what we meant there.
And as for the second quote, “We choose to go to the Moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard.”
We know it would be hard, but we believe with a decade of game development, making successful games, it is us, as BoomLand, who can pull this off.

Q.1 Do you have a AUDIT certificates?

We are working with CERTIK, and audit is ongoing — we finalized two revisions and almost ready to get signed off as an audited / secure project.
Q.2 To start playing $BOOM How much money do I need? Is it required that I need to have NFT characters or a specific number of $BOOM tokens? Also tell us how does $BOOM focuses more on the player experience in and out of the games to create a balance for playing & earning?

You need neither BOOM, or an NFT to start earning BGEM.
You can come into the game without 0.00 balance on your wallet, play the tutorial, select an NFT Hunter from rent list, and start earning and playing the game to your heart’s content!
Q.3 Did you consider community feedback/requests during the creation of your product in order to expand on fresh ideas for your project? Many projects fail because the target audience and clients are not understood. So I’d like to know who your ideal consumer is for your product?

Hunters on-Chain is the Web3 expansion of our highly acclaimed game, Hunt Royale. We have millions and millions of rows of data for that game that enabled us to perfect the game balance, Hunter buff/nerfing and smooth game economy balance. In addition to that, our Web2 community is huge (64k active-active community members :) ) that LOVES to give us their feedback, positive or negative — and we always listen.
Q.4Many projects have problems with UI / UX and this one turns off new users. How do you plan to improve the interaction with new users and with users outside the crypto space?

FTUE, or first time user experience, is really an advanced topic when it comes to UI/UX — we already have maxed out that skill and always iterate on the games’ flow to make sure it is a seamless experience. We used our playbook plus make it Web3 native to make it almost invisible for Web2 players to get onboard into a Web3 game. We have dedicated a large chunk of our development time with playtesting and watching web2 players we know and see how they reacted. So we are confident that we did a good job.
Q.5❇️ You mention that for this Q4 2022 will be your premium Whitelist, who can participate in this premium Whitelist? What are the requirements to participate? Will it be available for all countries or will there be any restrictions?
