Q1. Can you please introduce yourself and also tell us a bit about LABS ?

Yuen:
My name is Yuen and I’m the CEO of LABS Group, a 2 year business on the making that is set up to change the way people invest in real estate.

LABS is Digitised Real Estate Investment Ecosystem.

It is comprised of a primary issuance platform (ie. crowdfunding), a secondary platform (ie. Related digital security exchange), and auxiliary components including DeFi staking and lending platforms.

Lastly it has project management to help projects go on digitisation smoothly.

Q2. What is so exciting about LABS that we should know about ?

Yuen:
This is not only the first ever Digitised real estate security exchange, this is the first Digitised Real Estate Investment Ecosystem.

Not only we are a comprehensive team, consisting of blockchain, real estate, finance and legal professionals, we have great partners including real estate developers and DeFi specialists, including Centrifuge and a top 5 DeFi platform.

We have tractions too, including a ready crowdfunding platform, and yes, built on blockchain.

Q3. Which are the most important achievements in 2020 for LABS ??

Yuen:
LABS spent a lot of time perfecting the business and token model, which we think are really comprehensive and yet sexy. Actually not only in 2020 as we have been continuously doing that since 2018.

We also managed to augment the founding team with more like minded professional partners. And we have built traction and tech developments as a team.

It is a big ambition and a big project we are building here and hence we are glad to have achieved these so far.

Q4. Finally, any sneak peek into 2021 plans for LABS ??

Yuen:
As mentioned, we have built our crowdfunding platform and we will have that for show in weeks time while we perfect the UX/UI to make it use friendly. We are making a demo video on it too.

LABS will also announce its first ever Digitised Real Estate Exchange license when the government is ready to jointly do so, targeting and likely to be in late January.

We have submitted the business plan to the government and it has been approved, as the government likes it since we encourage financial inclusion.

We will also be ready to launch our first batch of digitised real estate projects in the first quarter of 2021. Very interesting projects I would say.

Looking at your roadmap,I saw you had a RioChain Integration,Stake Rewards, Security Token Exchange plan in the first quarter of 2021.Could you give us detailed information on this subject?What benefits will it provide for users and your project?

Yuen:
Well sure. To work with Rio as LABS has decided to join the Polkadot ecosystem, and we are good to share the same dreams, which just like blockchain, to make the world more decentralised and fairer, and offering to all and not just a selected few.

Patrick:
Rio will help us speed up our transactions and make real estate investments seamless

We really help to remove the ineffiencies in the current tradtional real estate market

Yuen:
LABS will get tech and chain support from Rio in order to make transactions quicker, easier and cheaper.

They will help us to make our KYC and AML, as well as on chain transactions seamless and effortless.

Thanks to my business partner, Pat, the managing partner of LABS, in chipping in.

One thing we want to remove is the process of having to wait 30+ days to close an investment

Q. Will it really be possible to crowdfund from any country when the platform goes live? Or will there still be some restrictions?

When a creator wants to start a project, what kind of documentation will they need to provide? Is it also a KYC/AML process? Or a lesser procedure?

Yuen:
There is likely to be restrictions on some countries, including USA which has a long arm and strict SEC policy, as well as countries such as North Korea and Cuba which are AML challenging.

For project owners, not only we will do KYC/AML, we will conduct due diligence. And depending on the state of readiness, we will either list them on our crowdfunding platform (for early stage projects) or our digital exchange.

Could you only invest Bitcoin and Ethereum in the real estate asset class? What benefits do these 2 cryptocurrencies have that others do not have in the project?

Yuen:
The short is yes. The longer answer is while we do take in these well established digital currencies, we will convert them into USD stable coins, since we would not want the fluctuations that would come with BTC and ETH.

Remember that we are dealing with real estate which while it is the largest and top quality asset class, it is not in the business of wild speculation.

That said, BTC and ETH are nonetheless the yardsticks of digital currencies of value. .

Patrick:
Btc and eth have the most volume and easily liquidated into usdt. This represents an advantage to some investors that would like to invest with btc versus transferring fiat via wire which can be cumbersome

The real estate market is very traditionalist and centralized. What are the differences between the LABS trade and the one we commonly know? How do Liquidating Assets improve the way real estate is managed?

Yuen:
Well first of all, it is Digitised, and on blockchain. The advantages of this being the ability to have real estate projects digitally sliced and to be invested in small fractions.

It also makes the traditionally illiquid assets liquid. Meaning you can easily buy and sell them, such as on LABS R.E.D. Exchange. (R.E.D. means Real Estate Digitalisation)

LABS will make real estate investment easy, as we would have done the due diligence on behalf and make cross border investments hassle free.

Patrick:
So there is a massive advantage investing with us bmvs traditional market

You want to buy property shares. It can be done in seconds now versus days and months

You said that “LABS is the first project to introduce the G.A.I.N.S model” but the majority of projects have governance, access, incentives, staking, etc. What is the difference between this model and the tradicional way of the others platforms?

Yuen:
A quick recap of our G.A.I.N.S. model for those who might not be aware:

The difference here is not only our model is comprehensive, and encouraging every stakeholder to participate and be involved, it is also highly rewarding for the staked token holders to get a share of our ecosystem profit.

We let our token holders decide on the level of the reward, with the first years especially enticing.

And thru our staking model, we allow backers to support a revolutionary digitised real estate investment ecosystem involving in ST, yet still enjoys the liquidity since LABS tokens are UT.

Marketing is the leading factor that help the project thrive. So what is your strategy to attract New users and Investor to your project in the long term? How do you plans to grow and gain more real-adoption?

Patrick:
We will ha e heavy online marketing campaigns. Two main things we will run are marketing to sell real estate to potential investors such as yourselves. And business development people that will seek out developers to bring in new project for tokenization. We have BD on our team from Convoy and Jones Lang Lasalle JLL already and we have been working with our real estate partners to create funds and bring in units for sale starting early next year

Mun Dog:
I want to have a LONG TERM INVESTMENT with this PROJECT, but I’m in doubts right now, how can LABS convince and assure me this project is SAFE and PROFITABLE? @Yuen_Wong @Pat_Labs

Yuen:
First we so know that real estate is a very traditional market which is usually reserved for a selected few.

It is huge, about 228 trillion USD. Yet, it is a market to be disrupted and note we have blockchain and the right market timing.

Look at our team, and our chairman belongs to the famous Harilela family in Hong Kong which privately owns 19 4 and 5 star hotels.

Look at our partners which consists of the largest property fund in New Zealand, and other partners including a listco in property valuation.

And LABS have worked on this for 2 years and still going strong and working hard

Patrick:
We have an online marketing team and content to team to drive traffic for potential investors and content to educate users on fractional investments.

We will have a lot of real estate in phuket and Thailand ready to go

We have signed to start selling luxury villa Q1 2021

Jesus Freites:
Q: Can the average retail investor access real estate investment products offered by LABS to qualified institutional buyers and accredited investors? How do they provide access to the medium and small real estate entrepreneur?

Yuen:
Thanks Jesus, what a nice name:)

You will be delighted to know that our Digitised real estate exhange allows us to sell to retail investors, and not only limited to PI (professional investors and institutions).

And hence with this, it is no longer only restricted to the privileged and selected few. Just imagine when one can invest in quality real estate with just 100 USD.

And on top of that, we have deFi lending platform to allow our users to obtain leverages if one prefers.

Patrick:
The market is 228t usd

Even 1% of this would make us massive. One of the keys to our business is our security exchange which allows for retail investors

The other security token exchanges can only accept accredited and private individual wealth investors

They can only focus on the 1%

We focus on the 99%

This is what will make us huge!

I can say in full confidence we are the world’s first end to end real estate investment ecosystem

We are the only security token exchange the focuses on real estate only

All real estate tokens in the future will come to us like tech stocks listing on nasdaq

We do believe we can be a unicorn size company in 2–3 years

What does LABS plan to do to attract more users in the upcoming time?

Yuen:
LABS will do the following:

Share with as many users as possible the beauty of having s digital ecosystem for real estate investment

Make our platform and Ecosystem as user friendly as possible

Work with good partners and tell estate developers to offer great projects and user experiences to our users

Keep growing the ecosystem by having users and Projects so that the profits from the ecosystem week make our toke holders happy

Patrick:
This also helps to answer the question I answered above

Yuen:
We want to encourage financial inclusion since the are many in the world without even a Bank account. Now as long as they have internet and a digital wallet they can now invest in real estate across the world.

This is a dream. And it is s dream to become true, with your support that is.

Patrick:
Everyone in the world wants to buy real estate

We want to sell to investors that can buy and we also want to provide opportunity to those that can’t right now

This will all happen soon

U can buy residential, commercial, resorts, and even yachts if we have a client that wants to sell a yacht

All of this is possible

Lastly, to sum it all up, LABS Group want and will change the way people invest in global real estate.
