I’m Francis Obasi, the CEO of Lead Wallet 🙂… I’ve been the crypto space since 2016. Throughout my work experience in this space, I’ve noticed that one of the major drawbacks against mass adoption is crypto spendability and the ease of use of crypto products and services. With Lead Wallet, we want to solve this problem.
I’m a graduate of the University of Benin, Nigeria, and I hold a Masters in Comparative Politics and Development Studies. My enthusiasm and drive are to see a world not reliant and on fiat currency and a world where individuals actually control their finance without any form of intermediary.

So far from the very obvious, we have managed to market the Lead wallet idea and built an over 100k strong community supporters who are eager and waiting to use our product. We achieved this huge community size within 2 months of launching the Lead Wallet idea to the public.
The next stage for us now is to build our application and have it delivered to the community as expected.

Great question, thanks for asking. So far I can say that we have made good progress from the positive response we’ve gotten from the global audience of crypto users. We concluded our airdrop and bounty campaigns which helped us catch the attention of the multitude who are enthusiastic about crypto mass adoption and usability.
We’ve received valuable mentions in top crypto/investment websites and Btcpeers.com, hackanoon.com, etc, and our community has grown up to 100k members on all social channels within a short time. All these have come easy because of what we are trying to solve in the industry, which is delivering a product that performs multi-functions for asset holders, provides simplicity for beginners and has optimum security.

Q3. Finally as we moved into 2020, in the short term what is Lead planning to achieve by end of year? @francisobasi @Henry_Lead

Hello, thanks for the great question. Our focus in 2020 is to launch and improve the wallet application. We will try as best as we can to include all the top altcoins and all ERC-20 tokens before the end of this year.
Once we finish everything and once it works as stable as we want it to be, we will integrate MultiSender and Staking Feature into the wallet app. In the development world, you cannot rush everything. It’s always better to have a working app first that works flawlessly before we add additional features. So, long story short, the goal in 2020 is to have a fast and smooth wallet app that works for a wide range of cryptocurrencies — and then, we can think of adding the other features.
That is our primary goal in 2020 — to have the community of Lead Wallet users and supporters. Beyond 2020, we want to have all the features of Lead Wallet that we already explained in our white paper, such as the Staking feature, MultiSender, Exchange feature, and others.

Basically, I think our overall idea of creating a very simplistic and secure crypto wallet for everyday use is a seller for anyone. Particularly those who have zero knowledge about cryptocurrencies but want to actually explore the possibility of using it. Starting out your crypto journey via Lead wallet as a newbie won’t be a bad idea.
However, on the core tech aspect of Lead Wallet, our most important use case and selling point is the Lead Marketplace which gives anyone to spend their cryptocurrencies without the need to convert your tokens or coins to fiat first.
With the successful launch of all aspect of Lead Wallet feature and the implementation of our marketing ideas, we are confident that Lead will be come the next big deal in months to come 😄💪

Why do you think that in front of popular wallets like Trust wallet, Atomic wallet etc , Lead wallet will able to snatch/bring users to their platform?

The Lead wallet application provides an all-in-one solution for cryptocurrency holders. We believe that having to transfer assets from wallet crypto wallet to another or from one crypto exchange to another in order to carry out various types of transactions that are not offered in a particular crypto wallet or exchange is a limitation in the crypto space because of the stress involved and costs it takes to do these transactions.
Beyond storing and exchanging your crypto assets, Lead wallet provides a built-in marketplace that allows you to spend your cryptocurrencies on items that you want without the need to first convert to fiat.
In addition, unlike the majority of crypto wallets, we will offer users the option of withdrawing fiat currencies directly to their bank accounts at a very competitive rate.

Hi Elly, thanks for sending your question. The Cmarketplace will include goods and services from e-commerce websites open to partnering with us to provide a crypto payment gateway for products on their site.
We will also integrate payment systems for payment like utility bills, hotel booking, flight booking, cable subscriptions, and you name it. We will keep on making integration on the basis of community demand once the feature is ready and launched

Can you explain more about Lead Token Burn ? When will Lead Project burn their Lead Token after IEO ?

Token burn will start six months after our app is in use. The idea here is that the funds we will use in buying back and burning these tokens will come from the revenue we generate with our app.

The multi-sender feature will be essential to business owners for payments made to multiple recipients. In one transaction, payments can be done to hundreds of wallet addresses using lead wallet at a competitive rate thereby saving time and energy and ultimately transaction costs.

Ummm. I don’t think our exchange will focus on p2p. We are more interested in the normal exchange and swap features at the moment. If there is a high demand for a p2p service, we will build it.

Will every country in the world have the opportunity to be part of the LEAD WALLET services? How many countries are currently related to?

Well, we can’t give numbers now until the application is launched. Country support will be based on the country’s crypto legalities.

How will Lead Wallet provide security to user funds? How to keep motivation to use Lead Wallet in the long term?
Henry | LEAD:
Great question Star. All the security features you see on the most popular wallet applications will be provided on the Lead Wallet application. First of all, we are a non-custodial wallet which means that we do not store users’ private keys, backup phrases, or other sensitive info on our server. Everything is decentralized and only the users have full ownership of this info.
As a means to protect the users from hacks that may occur physically from theft or loss of their mobile devices, we will ensure that users memorize and write down the backup phrase in another device or piece of paper as there will be a continuous but non-spammy reminder for that until the user can verify that they have this information properly stored. Because the biggest mistake that crypto casuals often make is when they never save any backup phrase and suddenly they lose their primary device, and they can’t recover their wallet in another device thereby losing their assets. We want to make sure our users won’t have such a problem.
And of course, we will provide the standard security practice for the app itself such as 2FA and biometrics (fingerprint login) to be an extra layer of security.

Thanks for asking, Alice. Our wallet has a simple and beautifully designed UI/UX that reduced the number of steps required between completing a transaction. This will make it even easier for users(especially newbies) to access given that most people lack the patience to spend time doing so many things to achieve a small goal.
Also, for the wallet features which we believe will help mass adoption, find them as follows:
1. C-Marketplace: This feature allows cryptocurrency holders to spend their assets directly from the wallet application. Users can pay for services including but not limited to booking of flights, hotels, utility bills, cable tv, e-commerce shopping, and so on.
2. Multi-Sender: this feature will be essential to business owners for payments made to multiple recipients. In one transaction, payments can be done to hundreds of wallet addresses using lead wallet at a competitive rate thereby saving time and energy and ultimately transaction costs.
3. Multi-Sig: this is another feature that can be utilized by businesses or a group of individuals who wish to collectively manage assets. It provides the platform for every stakeholder to confirm their signatures before assets are sent out of the holding wallet address. This feature provides optimum security for funds management because users have the opportunity to define the logic behind the use of funds and how many signatures will be required for the approval of transactions from the onset.
4. Lead-Ex: This feature provides the platform for users to exchange their crypto assets with other cryptocurrencies they wish to acquire. We intend to integrate the APIs of several popular exchanges in the wallet to enable this. Some of the exchanges include Binance, Huobi, Okex, etc. We will rely on this API from the launch of the wallet until we have stable and ready to build our own exchange more advanced trading features will be integrated for our users to benefit from.
5. Lead-Swap: this feature allows users to convert their assets from cryptocurrency to fiat and vise versa at a discounted rate. This reason for this is to provide flexibility and give the users the liberty to manage their assets however and whenever they decide.
6. Lead-Stake: This feature allows users to stake their lead tokens and other PoS tokens that will be integrated into the app directly from their lead wallet account. It also provides shows the progress about their stakes to enable them to know their daily profits and other and other delicate information to enable them properly manage their finances.
