Dear, Community,

Welcome to the recap of our AMA with SpiderDAO.
Our vibrant and enthusiastic community had a lot of questions to ask. To those who want to know quickly what SpiderDAO is about, we are sure this recap is gonna help you. So without further ado, continue reading 😉

✔️Introduction with SpiderDAO :👉

| DK | 🌿 | Never PM/DM First 🐞 Decentralized Club:
Q1. Can you please introduce yourself and also tell us a bit about SpiderDAO ?

Flisko:
Before joining SpiderDAO, I was the Chief Technology Officer at RiveX, where I spearheaded the development of various blockchain solutions. I am experienced in on, and off-chain tech and have a passion for developing decentralized solutions.

Nathan Varty:
Hi, my name is Nathan, and I’m the CEO of SpiderDAO. I have been successfully leading SpiderVPN since its inception in 2017, growing the business to over 6000 users across 18+ countries. I am an experienced entrepreneur with a background in IoT Development and Operations.

Flisko:
SpiderDAO is a next-generation hardware-based DAO governance model that aims to bring a new standard of fairness to existing DAO frameworks. Traditional DAO models are subject to attack and takeover by plutocracies controlled by wealthy whales. Our vision is about protecting your internet privacy while browsing the internet and getting paid for selling your bandwidth.

| DK | 🌿 | Never PM/DM First 🐞 Decentralized Club:
Very Impressive👍👍

Next question….

Q2. What is so exciting about SpiderDAO that we should know about ?

Nathan Varty:
The current exciting parts of the SpiderDAO being the first hardware-based DAO were already explained in the previous question, but if we take some key bullet points from it, yes, the whole DAO ecosystem will mainly be operated with the help of our SpiderConnect routers. They will enable you to participate in the governance mechanism, aka fair voting, give you multilayer privacy-protection, and allow you to monetize your bandwidth and create passive income with your unused megabytes. People are also more than welcome to participate in our Spider Distribution programs which are currently running at roughly 500% APY at https://mine.spiderdao.io/

| DK | 🌿 | Never PM/DM First 🐞 Decentralized Club:
Cool 😎

Nathan Varty:
Done

| DK | 🌿 | Never PM/DM First 🐞 Decentralized Club:
Okey, next question…

Nathan Varty:
We aim to please our community

| DK | 🌿 | Never PM/DM First 🐞 Decentralized Club:
Q3. Which are the most important achievements in 2020 for SpiderDAO ??

Flisko:
After a successful TGE and UNISWAP LISTING, our team’s number one priority is to deliver everything on the roadmap in the currently designated timeline. As you can see, we have started with the router distribution the previous week and we continued to power through the holidays to ensure that we also deliver the last LAU concept thing on our roadmap for this year, watch our Announcement channel closely for that one in the next two days, also In cooperation with other crypto communities, we have and will continue to organize router giveaways that are currently underway. Our goal is to increase not only the size of our community but also its strength.

| DK | 🌿 | Never PM/DM First 🐞 Decentralized Club:
Amazing😎 it shows a lot of transparency

Last question of Introduction..

Q4. Finally, any sneak peek into 2021 plans for SpiderDAO ??

Nathan Varty:

This ones a bit more clear

Our current plans can be seen from the road map. We are currently hard on developing the whole DAO ecosystem, which we are hopeful to have a full beta version of in Q1 of 2021. We will then do a full openWRT Testnet of it through our routers and polish any bugs that might come during the development process. Also at the start of the next year, we plan to develop and release an updated version of our android VPN app before we start working on the ERC-20 to Polkadot token bridge process. Plus we have a few partnership announcements and exciting things planned for Jan 2021. So its a pretty exciting new year to come.

The main problem with most VPNs I use is internet speed! VPN will slow down your internet speed! How does Spider Dao VPN service solve the speed problem?

Flisko:
Yes, that is indeed an issue with most of the other VPN service providers are stuck on outdated OpenVPN protocol. However, we upgraded our protocol with Wireguard, which not only provide a higher level of safety, but it also bundles that together with having a maximum of 10% speed drop off, so while we can’t achieve a 100% of the original speed, we have limited the drop off to a fraction of the initial rate.

what are the ways that SpiderDAO generates profits/revenue to maintain your project and what is its revenue model ? How can it make benefit win-win to both invester and your project ?

Nathan Varty:
We expect most of our revenue to come from the dVPN & Router sales, SpiderVPN is operating successfully and has a customer base and revenue which is growing everyday and making incremental profit every month which will be used to support the ecosystem with the SpiderVault which will be created to accumulate 2% of Crypto proceeds generated by services utilizing the SpiderDAO which can be redistributed for future propositions and help the ‘Spider Ecosystem’ grow stronger and more resilient.

Q. What are the benefits of the liquidity providers for the platform? Who can be a liquidity provider?

Flisko:
Right off the bat, anyone can be a liquidity provider that chooses to pair our tokens with USDT or ETH and stakes them at https://mine.spiderdao.io/#/. But in retrospect, some benefits of the liquidity stakers would be the ability to gain a free VPN subscription if they choose to stake 500$ worth, plus they get to enjoy the current high APY of 500%, which nets them some passive income.

Since the last AMA, less than 1 week ago, what progress has the SPDR team made in the development of the platform? What will you be working on in the next few months until the end of the year?

Nathan Varty:
We had quite a busy holiday season at SpiderDAO, and during the past week, we managed to open an official discord channel at https://discord.gg/freymYYspb, where our community members will be able to participate in the first vote. We also dispatched more than 400 routers in the past week to private sale investors, buyers & giveaway winners. Plus, we are nearly done with our LAU feature, which should be released before this New year’s end.

Please describe more about the SpiderDAO Governance Mechanism how does your platform work? Do the token holders have the right to participate in the governance of the project? What kind of decisions can they vote on about the project.

Flisko:
SpiderDAO platform introduces a distinctive governance infrastructure layer for the software plus hardware-based DAO approach, which can be applied in various use cases. SpiderDAO deploys a combination of software and hardware tools based on Polkadot governance protocol. But when it comes to voting, participants will have to own a router, which will count as one vote. Doing this, we ensure to avoid the situation of Dark DAO’s and whales having total control over the voting processes. But not only that, in the future, the platform could allow other projects to use our voting process as well in order to avoid bad votes. Participants will mainly be able to vote on decisions & changes that will occur inside of the SpiderDAO ecosystem, plus on which new features should be implemented into it.

SpiderDAO is going to be the umbrella for all projects, providing a fair and resilient foundation to build on, The first keystone product being SpiderVPN. We are planning to expand our projects into new areas like Cloud services, dChat and dEmail for example or whatever gets proposed by the DAO participants and voted by the DAO which in turn makes it easy for us to maintain and drive the SpiderDAO brand to be much more powerful. We will also be in constant contact with the growing SpiderDAO community and the open-source community for beneficial ideas on how to make the governance safer and more resilient to whales-resistance.
