My name is Sandu and I am the community manager at STASIS. I joined the STASIS team two years ago, being interested in the product, it’s development direction and its vast potential in the crypto market.
STASIS is a revolutionary step towards combining the vast potential of the cryptocurrency market with the stability and reliability of traditional currencies.
STASIS’ main product is EURS, the first euro-pegged digital asset, combining the benefits of the world’s second most traded currency with the transparency, immutability, and efficiency of the blockchain.
EURS mirrors the value of the euro on the blockchain and is supported by liquidity assurance mechanisms provided by our ecosystem partners. Each token is backed 1:1 by euros held in our reserve accounts.

Marketing is the core part of the product development strategy as it’s as vital to building a top-notch product to spread the message across the globe wisely and precisely. We promote our stablecoin by taking part in crypto conferences and meetups globally, organizing off-chain events, writing Digital Asset Regulation books (2nd edition was released in 2019), writing and contributing educational articles in top-tier media such as Forbes, Bloomberg, CCN etc.

EURS is the only major stablecoin in the market not pegged to the US dollar. While everyone else was trying to bring the global reserve currency onto the blockchain, we saw another opportunity, one that was underappreciated. In 2017, the EU accounted for 34% of world trade, a figure that shouldn’t be overlooked when cross-border transactions are one of the most widely heralded use cases for blockchain technology. In addition, the euro area has a population of over 340 million people, who use the euro for everything from paying employees to buying coffee in the morning. Over time, a euro-pegged cryptocurrency can make all of these processes more efficient.
But it’s not just about tapping into the market for the euro at home. As we look at the global economic situation today, we believe that the euro is well-positioned to grow in its role as a major world currency. Q4. Is there any gas fees while transacting EURS?
Sandu:
No. EURS, an EIP20 token, is the first stablecoin to introduce delegated payments on the Ethereum network. Users no longer have to pay GAS fees in order to make transactions. Instead, they can pay transaction fees in EURS or any other digital asset supported by the STASIS wallet — a huge improvement in terms of user experience.
Please also note that currently all EURS transactions are feeless, if they are initiated from STASIS Stablecoin Wallet

Q5. Finally as we moved into 2020, in the short term what is STASIS planning to achieve by end of year?
Sandu:
We plan further global expansion on various world markers, driving more people from different countries to experience the convenience of STASIS Wallet to buy, sell, swap and hodl crypto as well as see the benefits of EURS stablecoin usage. We can’t reveal potential markets yet, but we aim for those with the highest inflation rate and where the need for our EURS stablecoin solution is the highest.

We’ve created EURS — the digital euro — the first euro-pegged digital asset, combining the benefits of the world’s second most traded currency with the transparency, immutability, and efficiency of the blockchain. It mirrors the value of the euro on the blockchain and is supported by liquidity assurance mechanisms provided by our ecosystem partners. Each token is backed 1:1 by euros held in our reserve accounts. In addition to euros, EURS can be issued in exchange for securities, which are purchased by STASIS’ liquidity providers.
